Although not listed in the 1861 Uniform Regulations, Federals and some Confederates did receive gaiters, canvas, tarred and leather, but almost universally disliked them. However, to ensure some authenticity for reenactors, we do provide gaiters for those that require them in their units. Please note that there are no photos or writings of period gaiters with leather straps and buckles, yet they are made so to simplify their wear. For sizing, please see below. Imported.
