A successor to the Baby Dragoon, the 1849 Pocket is essentially a small version of the 1851 Navy. Unbeknownst to Colt, the M1849 Pocket Pistol would become their first great success, as over 330,000 would be produced until 1873. This example, SN 207938, still retains some of the nickel on the trigger guard and bluing on the metal. All serial numbers match throughout.
